Victoria and I went for our ultrasound appointment last week. I don't know if you'll be able to make it out, but this is a profile picture, with nose and forehead toward the top of the photo, body extending toward the left.
It's amazing how much they check with ultrasound. I expected that they would just do big-picture checks that all of the extremeties were there, but they measured the distance between eye sockets, head circumference, arm and leg lengths, and even checked the open/close patterns of each of the individual valves of the heart. Pretty amazing.
Thankfully we came out in the clear.
And this whole pregnancy thing seems a LOT more real now.

Wait till you see the 4-D ultrasound. That is really cool stuff and you can really makeout what your baby will look like--although I think all infants pretty much look the same.
