While I look for a job, we're staying at the home of Victoria's brother Nick and his girlfriend Rochelle. It's about an hour south of central Perth via car or the new train line, and about 3 minutes' walk to the beach:
Across the street there is a nature reserve area, and I've seen a number of kangaroos there in the afternoons and early evenings. The last several days we've had some stormy weather and haven't been outside much, but we did get to see this bright rainbow accompanied by a lighter secondary rainbow:
