For Victoria's birthday we ate at The Lobster in Santa Monica, and then went to see The Band's Visit at Laemmle's Santa Monica. I don't like to watch movies in the theatre much, and it had been at least 3 months since we'd gone out to a movie together, so it wasn't surprising that this was Victoria's birthday request.
The night reminded us of a number of things of which we want to get back into practice: going to happy hour/socializing, playing beach volleyball, and posting to this website so that we can keep in touch with distant family and friends more frequently, even if it is just through a quick and simple exchange.
