Quiver Rest, Fourth Lake, Adirondacks
A cabin on Fourth Lake was our Adirondacks home for two nights as we dried out from our Lake Ontario weather adventure. While we didn't find the old wooden lodge with a huge fireplace and expansive decks that I expected from my National Parks experience, we did have a great lake view with a dock, a canoe trip and walk around a small island, and a hike through a dense forest in which we observed over 10 mushroom species in about 6 miles. That...looks HEAVENLY...right out of a novel set in summertime. I have always wondered what it's like to sit on a dock on a lake in the summertime.
