Our schedule is starting to get pretty tight (it seems we have been a little too flexible with it so far), so we only stayed one night in DC, but made the most of it with a great hotel on Pennsylvania Ave near the White House, and quickly toured the must-see spots. An unexpected surprise was the National Botanic Gardens, where we could have spent all day looking through large greenhouses representing different climates.
